Finding Purpose in Matching God’s Will

A reflective companion for that journey.

There are seasons when you know you want to be closer to God, but you’re still figuring out what that looks like in everyday life.

You may have questions about obedience. You may be learning to release control. You may be trying to understand what God is asking of you while navigating fear, uncertainty, mistakes, or an unfamiliar season.

Sometimes, you simply want to know Him more deeply.

Alignment with God: Finding Purpose in Matching God’s Will is a reflective companion for that journey.

Through personal stories, Scripture, reflection, and practical exercises, Malkah explores what it can look like to cultivate a genuine relationship with God and intentionally bring your everyday life into greater alignment with His will.

You do not need to have everything figured out. You can begin by being willing to listen, learn, release, grow, and keep walking.

“You don’t have to have the whole path figured out to take the next step.”

Choosing Alignment Daily

Recognizing alignment as an ongoing process shaped by everyday choices, prayer, reflection, and a willingness to return when you drift.

Living the Invitation

Allowing what you learn along your own journey to become encouragement for others walking their own paths.

You simply have to be willing to keep walking.

You’re longing to cultivate a deeper relationship with God.

You’re questioning whether your life and choices are aligned with His direction.

You’re learning how to release the need to control every outcome.

You’re wrestling with fear, shame, insecurity, or self-doubt.

You’re trying to understand what wholehearted obedience looks like in everyday life.

You’re navigating an unfamiliar season and wondering what comes next.

You’re seeking encouragement to keep moving forward when the path isn’t clear.

You’re simply wanting a quiet place to reflect on where you are and where God may be leading you.

That’s what I hope this book can be.

I wrote Alignment with God because, along my own journey, I realized that I sincerely wanted to cultivate a relationship with the Most High. I wanted to learn to love Him for who He is in my life, rather than focusing only on what He could do for me.

I found myself asking questions that went deeper than, What do I want God to do for me?

How do I serve Him with joy and gladness? How do I love Him wholeheartedly? How do I make sure the desires of my heart are in line with what He wants for me?

I began to realize that if I wanted to walk with God, I needed to learn how to get on the same page with Him. I needed to become more attentive to His direction and more intentional about applying what I was learning to my everyday life.

As I spent more time studying Torah portions and reflecting on how those lessons could shape the way I lived, I began jotting down notes. Eventually, the idea of writing a book came to me.

Then I got in my own way.

Fear, insecurity, shame, and self-doubt caused me to suppress the idea for years. Other ideas came and went, but this one kept resurfacing.

Eventually, through conversations with my best friend, I began to consider that perhaps God had placed this book on my heart for a reason. Even though I could have published under a pen name, I ultimately felt that the right thing for me was to publish under my own name. If I was going to share my reflections and experiences honestly, I wanted to be willing to be seen, too.

I wrote Alignment with God as though I were sitting across from a friend, sharing what I had been learning, questioning, discovering, and wrestling with along the way.

Sometimes a journey can feel lonely.

Of course, we can ask God to walk with us. I often find myself asking Him to hold my hand as I move through unfamiliar territory. There is something comforting about having another person beside you, too.

That’s what I hope this book can be.

A tangible companion for your own journey. A place to reflect, write, question, and consider what God may be teaching you in your current season.

Our paths may look different. We may only cross paths for a moment. Even those brief intersections can give us an opportunity to learn from one another, encourage one another, and find the strength to keep going toward wherever God is ultimately leading us.

“You don’t have to walk the journey exactly as I have. I simply hope something along the way helps you keep walking yours.”
